Fourth place for Miquel Gelabert in the X-Trial World Championship in Pamplona

Vertigo rider Miquel Gelabert has proven himself as a rider capable of continual improvement, finishing just one point away from the podium in his second participation in the X-Trial World Championship.

The X-Trial in Pamplona, the seventh round of the X-Trial World Championship, brought the indoor season to a close. The event, held at the Navarra Arena in front of 6,000 spectators, featured Vertigo’s official rider, Miquel Gelabert. Following a strong performance at the previous event in Tallinn, Estonia, Gelabert was invited to conclude the series and once again delivered an impressive showing, repaying the trust placed in him.

Gelabert arrived in Pamplona as the newly crowned French Trial Champion, adding yet another accolade to Vertigo’s growing list of national titles.

Behind the handlebars of the Vertigo Nitro RS2, Gelabert was the first rider to tackle the sections. Despite the initial challenge, he managed the task with relative ease, completing a strong run with minimal penalties. At the end of the first round, Gelabert secured fourth position, keeping him in contention for a spot in the final during the second round. While his second run was solid, his competitors remained flawless, leaving him just one point shy of advancing to the final stage. Gelabert’s fourth-place finish underscored his excellent form and that of the Vertigo team.

With only two participations in the seven events of the championship, Miquel Gelabert concluded the 2024 X-Trial World Championship in eighth place overall, amassing a total of 13 points.

Miquel Gelabert, Vertigo factory rider: “I was riding really well, I felt really good on the bike and with the team. From the first moment, in the training, I looked for the sensations I had in Tallinn and I felt strong riding despite the handicap of starting first on the track. I made a couple of mistakes on the first lap that I could have avoided if I had started further back. But in general, I was doing really well. I was one point away from the podium, which was the goal we were looking for. Ending the season like this, with these sensations, is very motivating to be able to continue even better next year”.
