Vertigo Factory rider Matteo Grattarola set to take part in the fourth round of the X-Trial World Championship this Friday in Bordeaux, France.
The final X-Trial date for Matteo Grattarola, before the start of the TrialGP World Championship gets underway in ten days’ time in Arteixo, will be the fourth round of the calendar held on Good Friday in the French town of Bordeaux. It will be the first time that the Arkéa Arena venue has hosted the top international competition.
For the Italian, whose indoor championship has got off to a difficult start, the aim will be to perform well at the French event. Grattarola will compete in this race aboard the new Vertigo Nitro RSR, on which he made his debut last weekend in Italy, achieving a clear win at the start of the transalpine event.
Changes to the X-Trial calendar
The X-Trial World Championship has undergone some changes to its schedule with the final round having changed venues. After Bordeaux, there will be a break as the outdoor World Championships get underway, with X-Trial resuming on 7 October in Andorra. The World Championship will conclude in November after dates in Madrid (Saturday 4) and Vendée (Saturday 11). There will be no trial on Réunion island.
Key date for Vertigo at the 3 Días Trial Santigosa
Elsewhere this weekend, the 51st edition of the 3 Días Trial Santigosa will take place in the surroundings of Sant Joan de les Abadesses, a legendary three-day event where 51 riders will take part on Vertigo motorcycles, with the brand in attendance in the park in case any riders need assistance. In addition to the marque’s other riders, young rider Ryon Land will take part in the event as well as Matteo Grattarola, who will participate on one of the days as a show of support for the historic trial.
