JAIME BUSTO TAKES 4TH IN BARCELONA

Barcelona hosted on Sunday the 4th round of the 2022 X-Trial World Championship. Jaime Busto delivered a strong performance at the Palau Sant Jordi to take 4th place, confirming the progression already shown in Madrid a week ago, where he finished in that same place.

Busto got off to a positive start with a competitive opening lap of 13 marks, which left him in 4th going into round 2 just 1 mark away from Grattarola, who was 3rd at the moment. In lap 2 the Spaniard successfully tackled some of the most challenging obstacles of the always demanding Palau Sant Jordi’s sections, however, three maximums in the first three made him lost important ground to Grattarola in their particular fight to earn final’s last ticket. Busto ended up with 29 against the 25 from the Italian rider.

The X-Trial World Championship completed in Barcelona an intense first part of the season, which has seen four back-to-back weekends of action. Now the indoor series take a long breath until October for the last two events of the 2022 campaign. Busto is currently sitting in 4th in the general standings 8 points behind 3rd place.
